Description
Zinc Sheet – 0.027" (22 Gauge) Thickness – Soft Zinc
What is Soft Zinc?
Soft zinc is a purer form of zinc, containing a minimum of 99.8% zinc (compared to 99.5% in standard zinc). It contains no added titanium or copper, making it more flexible, easier to bend, and ideal for DIY projects.
Sizing
Please select your desired size above. We recommend ordering a sheet slightly larger than needed to allow for trimming or adjustments.
PVC Coating (Optional)
Our zinc sheets are shipped without a PVC protective covering. If you would like to minimize scratches during handling and installation, you can add PVC lining to your order. Please order one PVC lining per sheet.
Shipping Information
By default, sheets are rolled and shipped via UPS or FedEx, which is the most economical option for .020, .027, and .030 thicknesses. However, in approximately 5–10% of shipments, edges may be damaged during transit, and carriers may not cover this under insurance.
If you require the full width of the sheet without any edge damage, we recommend selecting LTL (freight) shipping. Please contact us after placing your order to arrange freight shipping and receive a quote.
Note:
- Freight orders will be shipped rolled unless you specifically request flat shipping.
- Flat freight shipping incurs an additional charge.
- Most customers do not require full-width sheets, as edges are often trimmed or folded during installation.
Product Condition Notice
Due to the nature of the material, minor scratches, blemishes, and smudges are normal and should be expected. These can typically be buffed out using 0000 steel wool after installation.
For best results:
- Unroll the sheet as soon as possible upon delivery.
- Lay it flat and, if needed, reverse-roll to help it relax.
- Gentle heat can also help flatten the material.
- Avoid leaving the sheet rolled in the box for more than 10–12 days, as this can make flattening more difficult.
Important Shipping Recommendation
To minimize the risk of edge damage, we strongly recommend upgrading to LTL freight shipping. If you would like to do so, please leave a note with your order or contact us for a quote.
