Forklift Counterweights

RotoMetals produces custom Forklift Counterweights for your individual requirements. These are used for stand-up rider and sit-down counter-balanced forklifts. Sit-down counter-balanced forklifts usually place counterweights in between or behind the rear wheels. Counterweights are used to secure proper weight distribution/stability to prevent the vehicle from tipping over.  This also ensures the safety performance of the vehicle.

Two options for forklift counterweights:

• Bulk type - hollow body part at back end or between wheels that, for space efficiency, is normally lead filled.
• Stack type - cast metal housings, steel canisters or metal plates made to stack onto a base plate.  Stacking or removing utilizes maximum lift weight.

• any steel and lead filled counterweight additions

• for sizing purposes, lead filled
• lead is approximately 45% more compacted than steel
• counterweight/addition can be smaller/shorter/leaner.

Forklift Counterweight Additions - all steel

• when size not an issue, choose all steel
• steel counterweight additions are less expensive than lead filled additions
