R98 Casting Alloy Pewter is an excellent casting pewter that contains approximately 98% Tin, 1.5% Bismuth, and 0.5% Copper. The bismuth helps minimize shrinkage for small details, making this the best pewter from fine detail work. The melting temperature is 466 -590 deg F and the pouring temperature is above that. Each ingot weighs approximately 1 pound.

Easy to use, melts well in an electric pot and pours well. A bit more shrinkage than I'd like but that's easy to fix by overfilling my molds and some grinding. Overall really happy with the product.
I ordered the pewter casting ingot to create gaming pieces that were finely detailed and only about one inch in length. The pewter melted fast, poured at a low viscosity, and captured most of the detailing very well. I couldn't be happier. Thanks RotoMetals!
As described very nice product.
Of the Pewter Alloys here this seems to have the least shrinkage and best detail. Have already reordered.
Good quality pewter; served my purpose and kept good detail for small items.
I've order this product twice. First time I got the R92 as well but I prefer the R98 for my castings and the detail it can capture. I prefer the small ingots Rotometals offer, they're easier to melt. Rotometals is great about shipping. Always fast, always correct. They're my go-to now for pewter.
