Description

This is 50 lbs (2 bags at 25 pounds each) of raw reclaimed lead that has not been washed or air cleaned and is dirtier than our normal air cleaned shot. It is also great for making scuba weights, for use as ballast weight or a cheap lead source for other projects. Please be aware that these BB's may still have a small amount of foreign objects, i.e. pebbles or dirt in it. The bag will contain a mix of all sizes - mainly around 7.5 and 8. Our reclaimed lead averages about 5% Antimony Lead. Bulk orders of this product are available. This is the best value for inexpensive ballast weight.

Each bag measures approximately 10" x 5" x 2"

Approximate Pounds per cubic foot: 350 - 380 pounds
Pounds per cubic inch: +/- .20-.22 pounds

The two 25 lb bags fit in the Caldwell FCX lead sled perfectly. A little dust but not too much.

Ballast Weight Reclaimed Lead 50 Pounds

Package arrived quickly. I appreciate the double boxing because it looked like it received some rough handling in transit. I think it gave the mailman a hernia. The bags fit perfectly in my Caldwell Lead Sled canvas bags. Very pleased.

Needed this to make some counterweights for a pulley system I rigged up. Reasonably priced and really quick ship!

    Ballast Weight Reclaimed Lead

It is dirty as stated in description but when melted into clean ingots one twenty five pound bag produces approx. 23 lbs which works out to $1.40 per lb. It's a bit labor intensive but then there is no free lunch.
