Ingots are approximately 8-3/4" x 1" x 2" and weigh 5 pounds (+/- .25). This alloy is comprised of twenty parts of lead and one part of tin (95% lead, 5% tin). The Brinell Hardness Number of 1 to 20 Alloy is approximately 10.

This has been the standard blackpowder cartridge alloy since the .45-70 Government Cartridge was first loaded in 1873. It is also popular with many of today's Cowboy Action Shooters.

    20/1 alloy

Rotometal's alloy consistency lot to lot takes one more element out of the equation for casting accurate bullets. Cannot say how pleased I am with shipping speed and cost terms. Will be my Go -To as my second order was a good as the first and I'm hooked.

So much easier in getting a pre mix lead than trying to gather ones own materials.

This is the second or third purchase of lead mix from here and I am well pleased. The material comes within a few days of order. I am not so sure my postal workers enjoyed handling this last order of 30 lbs however. I have cast about 100 bullets thus far and have had no issues other than the slight weight difference from one bullet to another but that is the nature of the beast. I certainly will continue to order from this company, great service plus they offer more than just lead of all types.

Once again this material is as advertised

The one thing I like is the prompt delivery very you can expect from this company. Seems as thought they have it coming to you even before you order it and in these times that is saying something. I used to mix my own lead/tin but this is a better way to assure one is getting the proper combination.

I have ordered and used this product in the past. I have been very pleased with the purity of the alloy and the casting properties for Black Powder Cartridge shooting. I have done business with Roto Metals in the past and will continue to do so.
