Description

Bismuth Shot #4 ( ~.13", 3.28 mm)

New! Bismuth shot for reloading shotgun shells. Rotometals Bismuth Shot is alloyed with 6% tin to increase pellet integrity. Bismuth is one of the softest of all the non-toxic alternative shot types making it very suitable for old double guns and other shotguns with fixed chokes. Rotometals Bismuth Shot is a great non-toxic alternative to lead. No other non-toxic shot performs this similar to lead.

161  Pellets per OZ.  Bismuth's density is 9.6 grams/cubic centimeter.

Roundness- Note unlike lead or steel  Bismuth shot is not round, but will still shoot and pattern excellent! BB's may have small satellites or tails but this actually helps to not generate as much drag in the air similar to a golf ball ie less sticky in the air.

    My Second Order

Posted by Calvin Sargent on May 19th 2021

I liked the #4 bismuth so much for duck hunting last year that I had to buy some more to load up for this fall!

Seems heavy enough and consistant enough.

Posted by James McGee on Dec 20th 2020

I have never used bismuth, but was removed from water fowl hunting by steel only regulations. My muzzle loading shotguns can not handle steel.Bismuth by balk seemed hard to find. But I did a search and found Roto metals.I,am back in the game.I think I will buy another shot pouch to avoid cross contamination with my lead shot and I do believe I will be a regular costumer of Roto metals. thank you.

    #4 Bismuth Shot

Thanks to you my 16 gauge is not back in the duck blind and taking clean kills at 35-40 yards. This is a great product and I will be ordering more soon. I will also be stocking up before the 2021-2022 season on other shot sizes. You guys have hit a home run with this stuff right here.

    Great shot

Posted by Calvin on Nov 30th 2020

I have reloaded a couple boxes of Rotometals #4 bismuth now, and I am impressed. It is far superior to steel shot when it comes to waterfowling. I was duck hunting with two friends yesterday, and they were shooting Boss bismuth shotshells. We were all shooting 12 ga. 3" shells with payloads of 1 3/8 oz. of #4 bismuth. My reloads with Rotometals bismuth we dropping ducks just as well if not better. Some of them were long shots too! The only negative is some out of round pellets and bismuth flakes in the bottom of the 10# bag. It's enough to make mention of, but not enough to complain about.

    Bismuth #4

Posted by MICHAEL DELVECCHIO on Jun 13th 2020

Have used these with great success on ducks. Using it again for this season. Very interested in trying your #3.5 shot. It may well be the best for large ducks. Stay tuned! Also, I ordered and received order 3 days later. Awesome!
