Outstanding Quality January 16, 2015
Reviewer: Anonymous Person from Avondale, CO United States
I ordered 11 ingots to sample. Each was no less than 5lb 0.0oz and no more than 5lb 0.7oz. When I tested the B.H. it came to 15.8 I only cast a few but it is clean and has a nice flow characteristics. This is a good alloy, I will buy more and recommend to others. Also, ingots are marked with alloy type (Lyman 2) and a batch/lot# for easy records and segregation.

Placed order on 5-8 at 8pm, delivered on 5-10 at 11am. So fast it made my head spin LOL.

Excellent prices on lead too. Plus the Volusion Site is very user-friendly.

Update 7-26-13: The 30 Pounds of Lyman #2, that I ordered, is Very clean metal. Made great .309s for my 30-06 & 30-30. No leading after about 75 rounds. I will be buying again.

Lyman lead July 26, 2013

I have always blended my own #2 from the three raw metals I have on hand.  Antimony is typically tough to get in solution in a heat.  A tedious process in amateur hands.

I cast big 535 grain bullets for my 458 win mag and push 'em out at high speed so a consistent metallurgy is needed to obtain good repeatable results.

Rotometals has done it all and a trial has made a customer here, for sure.  The price was very right, too.  Good stuff! Smooth pour and all bullets are clean and low fouling at 1800fps.
