R98 Casting Alloy Pewter is an excellent casting pewter that contains approximately 98% Tin, 1.5% Bismuth, and 0.5% Copper. The bismuth helps minimize shrinkage for small details. The melting temperature is 466 -590 deg F. Each ingot weighs approximately 1 pound.

Definitely better for medieval-style casting January 13, 2011

I cast in soapstone molds, and this alloy is definitely the best I've used.  It flows and fills in well, and even the smallest details are clear.  The slightly higher price is worth every penny.
