Product Code: 30_ANTIMONY_70_LEAD

Sold by the ingot.

Ingots are measure approximately 8-3/4" x 1" x 2" and weigh about 5 Pounds (+/- .25).

This is an alloy of 30% Antimony and 70% Lead that is a great source for hardening up your lead or wheel weights and is much easier to melt then pure antimony as we have done the alloying for you. This alloy will melt at around 650 Degrees which should be easy to reach in most small melting pots.

We sell Super Hard based on percent of antimony in the alloy; Note: We make no promise on Brinell Hardness, as it will not measure correct because of the crystalline structure of the alloy
, you would need a special commercial larger ball diameter machine in order to read the hardness correctly.

Lots of great info here about using super hard!

Works great July 14, 2014
Reviewer: Anthony Santana from El Dorado, CA United States
Melted it down and made about 200, 45 ACP bullets to use as an additive. But what I do is each time I make a batch of bullets I put in about 6 to 10 of these bullets to harden up each batch, it seems to work great. I will be ordering more in the future

Just shy of 5lbs February 18, 2014
Reviewer: Jack from AZ
I ordered 11 bars and 3 of the Bars weighed 5 lbs and the rest weighed 4lbs 15oz.

I use the metal to make bullets to shoot out of 7.62x39 and .308.

I can get jacked speeds by casting with this alloy.

Second order where the weight of the 5 lb.
Inget is 5.5 ounces shy of 5 lbs. Product is good. Too bad rotor metals can't keep their fingers off the scale.

More Like 4.5 Pounds October 31, 2013
Reviewer: Ryan Linder from Sheboygan, WI United States
I weighed the two ingots I purchased and it's not even close to the 5 +/-0.25 pounds.  One was 2097g or 4.623# and the other is 2008g or 4.427#.
2 stars because it's the ingot described but when you get 9 pounds and should have gotten at least 9.5 pounds, according to the product description, how do you not feel cheated--thought about giving one star.

Wish it had some Tin in it August 21, 2013
Reviewer: Stephen Guillette from Los Alamos, NM United States
been useing this stuff for a few years now, was lucky enough to find 1000# of pure lead but had no way to harden it for bullet material. found this product and now have several hundreds of pounds of alloy ready for casting, i sure wish Roto metal would add a percentage of Tin so all i had to do was measure out x number of pounds of pure lead to x number of pounds of Super hard to get my alloy numbers, finding tin is like finding Wheel weights Difficult , and buying tin along with super hard gets pricey, i really don't think any one would complain if a percentage of tin was added to Super hard

great product and i will buy more as funds allow still have 600# of pure lead awaiting Alloying
