RotoMetals Regalv Lead Free galvanizing repair stick restores corrosion resistant
zinc like finish on galvanized plates, shapes, pipe, rods, sheets, etc. after
welding, cutting, abrasion. Re coats burnt
galvanizing. Also coats the weld and prevent rust. Rubs on a
Hot surface like a
crayon. Coats easily and permanently.
Regalv- Lead Fee is a alloy of Tin, Zinc, and Copper
General Procedure
Prepare the surface to be repaired by sanding or wire brush.
Regalv- Lead Fee has a broad slushy range of 390°F to 570°F (200°C to 300°C).
When heated, the slurry can be shaped and spread easily to blend
seamlessly with the existing galvanized coating. The slurry can be built
to a substantial thickness, even on vertical surfaces.
Hot Dip Galvanizers:
Small defects in the surface of freshly galvanized steel can be easily
repaired with Regalv- Lead Fee. Typically, residual heat is sufficient to melt
and apply Regalv- Lead Fee. The high zinc content provides excellent cathodic
protection and the repair blends and bonds with the original galvanizing.
Fabricators and Welders:
In the shop and field, galvanized surfaces are often damaged by cuts and
welds. Due to its moldable nature, Regalv- Lead Fee can be applied to a
substantial thickness in almost any orientation. The solder penetrates
deep into cracks and imperfections to provide a seamless protective
barrier.
On Galvanized Iron,
Regalv is indispensable.
On Black Iron, Regalv
prevents formation of rust pockets in the weld or on other surfaces requiring
rust proofing before painting.
On Rusted Iron, Regalv
re coats, adheres, and inhibits further rusting.
Regalv, a product of modern
metallurgy, goes on faster, smoother, with a firmer bond, and surpasses original
galvanized surfaces in corrosion resistance. Regalv, is a true meal coating (not
a paint), and does not age to a whitish powdery appearance. It tends to darken
slightly when weathered, and maintains its true metallic hue.
